Sociology and Labour Market Policy

The subject group deals with theimportance of work, integration and labour markets in changing working societies. It examines the modernisation of labour market policies and the promotion of employment in Germany and other welfare states, and asks how these and social security systems can be adapted to the changing labour market. It analyses services on the labour market as well as tools used to promote employment focusing on work and networking, and examining opportunities and routes for disadvantaged groups.
