The business and vocational education subject group (BWP) contributes to the development of students' competencies in the fields of business and vocational education. It focuses on teaching and research including on the goals, structure and processes of professional education and professional consulting and orientation. This also encompasses the following subject areas: career and professionalism, development of competencies and qualification, training and further education systems and also career and study guidance.

The subject group is responsible for the following modules in university teaching:
