Profile

HdBA aims and purposes

The governing body of the university is the National Employment Agency (BA), offering those interested in studying the opportunity to gain a Bachelor's degree at this university. In the foundational courses students can acquire expert knowledge through a unique combination of economic, social sciences and law and qualify for specialist labour market policy tasks. The degree courses form comprehensive preparation for tasks according to Social Act III (SGB III). Also included is the training for tasks in accordance with Social Security Code II (SGB II), conducted by the BA in cooperation with local authorities.

Alongside both foundation courses, the university provides applied research and development  in counselling on specific topics, placement and integration, as well as the respective further education.

Based on the positive evaluation of its concept, the university received accreditation through the German Council of Science and Humanities in January 2007.
