Staff Council

As an elected committee, we represent the interests of the HdBA staff which need to be brought before university management. Within this framework, we work with the university Equal Opportunities Officer, the representative for disabled persons as well as the inclusion officer and the trade unions concerned. Our activities are based on the BPersVG (Government Personnel Representation Act). The staff council focuses on creating the best possible working conditions and is the point of contact for staff interests and concerns.

Our most important tasks include

  • the monitoring of adherence to laws in the interest of the employees, regulations, labour agreements, establishment agreements and administrative instructions.
  • We are also involved in dealing with proposals and complaints made by staff members, and
  • are there to table applications and suggestions which serve the agency and those who belong to it.

In addition to that, some of our regular activities include

  • staff council meetings every two weeks,
  • staff meetings twice a year,
  • monthly meetings with university management

The election of the new staff council took place at the university on Wednesday, 24th April 2024. Staff council members took office for a four-year term following the constituent meeting on 29th April 2024.
