Student Mobility (SMP)

Students can take part in a work placement with Erasmus in companies or organisations in other European countries.

Within the cooperation with special European partner organisations (mostly state administrations and institutions), HdBA students are given the opportunity to take part in a 2-month Erasmus+ stay abroad to apply their knowledge and experience outside of the National Employment Agency, to learn new perspectives and to enhance their intercultural skills.

• Academic recognition of the work placement
• Support throughout the placement from a contact person at the home university and in the company
• Support for additional costs abroad
• Assistance with preparation (culture, language, organisation)
• Extra grant for students with disabilities, for Green Travel 
   

Erasmus Placement Abroad Requirements

• Regular enrolment at the HdBA
• Both the home and guest university have a valid Erasmus Charter for Higher Education (ECHE)
• Placements in European institutions or organisations, national diplomatic missions, and organisations that run EU programmes are not eligible for funding

Online language lessons

The European Commission has developed a language support system (OLS – Online Language Support) for students and those on placements as part of the Erasmus+ programme. This serves as a support for learning and improving languages and has different features to offer:

• Self-assessment of language level using such self-assessment tests (language tests), which can be used at any point during mobility
• Participation in language courses in as many languages as desired before or during mobility

Free, tutored onlinelanguage courses are available for all 24 languages of the European Union at different levels. The online-OLS language courses are gradually being expanded so that language support for Icelandic, Macedonian, Norwegian, Serbian and Turkish will also be possible in the future.

Student Charter

Student obligations and rights for the Erasmus+ programme are laid out in the "Erasmus+ Student Charter", given to each of the students before the start of the placement abroad.

Reports

All those receiving funding through the Erasmus+ mobility programme are required to submit a report upon completion of their programme using the Mobility Tool Plus - along with the relevant documentation (certificate of participation).

Since 2018 the following funding rates for student mobility during studies (SMS) have been in place:

• Group 1
  450 Euros per month in Denmark, Finland, Ireland, Iceland, Liechtenstein,
  Luxembourg, Norway, Sweden
• Group 2:
  390 Euros per month in Belgium, Germany, France, Greece,
  Italy, Malta, Netherlands, Austria, Portugal, Spain, Cyprus
• Group 3:
  330 Euros per month in Bulgaria, Estonia, Croatia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland,
  Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, North Macedonia, Czech Republic, Turkey, Hungary

All funding rates will be updated from the 2023 programme onwards.
     
Erasmus+ students (SMP), who you are one of, receive
105 Euros per month on top, so 555 Euro in Group 1 / 495 Euros in Group 2 / 435 Euros in Group 3.
This grant will also be increased for the 2023 programme.
