Project Description
Include³ - Paths to inclusion – Transition from sheltered employment into the regular labour market for people with intellectual disabilities: identification, circulation and implementation of trusted processes in Europe.
To maintain the adherence of inclusion goals in the EU and the United Nations, the European Parliament issued a call in 2021 for more research in the field of sheltered workplaces. Include³ took up this call and will develop an inclusive, co-productive research process and a curriculum, to create individual paths for people with intellectual disabilities from specific professional and general education to sustainable employment and dignified work. Based on a curriculum for the Include³ methods, career counsellors who work in or for sheltered employment will conduct seminars with people with intellectual disabilities, employers and vocational training specialists.
By piloting and evaluating the seminars, it will be ensured that methods in different European countries can be established sustainably. Include³ will lead to the development of a process to bring sheltered vocational training in line with individual needs, abilities and endeavours for people with intellectual disabilities and with opportunities on the labour market. Curriculum and resources which are available on a fully accessible webportal will ensure the applicability and widespread usage of this process, to enable sheltered vocational workplaces to contribute better to the goal of integration into the labour market.
Aim of Project
The goal is to personalise professional training such that the needs of the labour market can be met as accurately as possible.
