Description
For solid external recruitment, it is necessary for employers to be ready for changes in the job-applicant market. The transition to an applicant's market as well as the somewhat increased intensity of other employers' activity deems it necessary to have professional recruitment marketing, i.e. employer branding. It is about taking applicants' increased expectations into consideration when carrying out recruitment activities.
In the field of university recruitment, online student counselling tests have been used more and more for several years. These so-called Online-Self-Assessments (OSA) are self-assessment tools, internet based in general, and free to access. They comprise information on the content and conditions of degree programmes and can be supplemented by psycho-diagnostic processes for the recording of personal characteristics. OSA participants receive feedback on the results directly after the information has been processed, which correlates to the requirements of a study programme.
Aims
The aim of the project is the development and testing of an OSA for future student recruitment at the HdBA. Using the interactive service of the BA, diagnostic OSA parts are to intially be established, and information-oriented parts of the OSA continued to be improved. Alongside a realistic preview in terms of degree programme, organisation and activity, an automated comparison between required characteristics and also individual characteristics are to be provided. All information serves to help all interested parties make informed decisions about applying for an advertised position at the BA. The developed processes also serve as a pilot intention for further BA recruitment campaigns.
The project is divided into 3 phases:
- Definition of the aim of the OSA and the development of a psychological competency profile.
- Development and empirical testing of Online Self-Assessment elements.
- Standardisation and Implementation of Online Self-Assessment elements.
