Description
The aim of the E-KI-B project is the development and testing of an AI-based system to connect language recognition with the identification of work-related criteria (i.e., those seeking advice and the counsellors) and approaches (of the counsellor) as well as the connection with an occupation classification system (e.g. ESCO; Berufe.net). A contract with the DFKI in Kaiserslautern was drawn up for the technical implementation, also enabling cooperation after completion of this project phase.
Starting point is the research status from an initial pilot study (the KI-BEP project, (funded by the HdBA), and the insights into the tool developed to support counsellors in the use of career databases in counselling. (BerufeNET, ESCO). The current stage of development refers to the use of AI-supported language recognition of key terminology and paraphases the counsellor uses when structuring work-related solutions for the client. The E-KI-B project intends to enable various AI technologies and resources, alongside improved usability and also a wider range of decision-making criteria.
The result wll be validated by testing in career counselling and in counsellors' further education and training at the HdBA. Development can also contribute to research into counselling processes (e.g. in teaching research projects). The results allow the raising of third-party funding in cooperation with one of the project partners specialised in the development of AI, (The University of Trier - IT department, the German Research Center GmbH) and the cooperation with the National Employment Agency.
