Project Description
Psychological test procedures such as cognitive tests, questionnaires or Situational Judgment Tests can help to select suitable employees, to give placement and career recommendations, to ensure accurate selection of measures for coaching or training , and they enable a strong basis for the self-reflection of individual strengths and weaknesses. New processes have to be continually developed, especially in personnel selection, to avoid test procedures becoming known and then prepared for. The development of psychological test procedures is a resource-consuming process: procedures have to be based on theories, expert opinion or statistic procedures and then checked according to empirical investigations. Part of the project involves looking into whether artificial intelligence applications can be used to develop new psychological test procedures. The psychometric quality, in particular reliability and validity, of these methods is then compared with the psychometric quality of established test procedures in empirical surveys. The project is running in cooperation with the Department of Psychology at the University of Heidelberg.
