How Accessible is our Website?

We are the universities of the National Employment Agency.
The University of Applied Labour Studies is called, in short, HdBA.
This is about what accessbility means.
In this explanation of accessibility, it says:

This is regulated by law.
In the following way:

  • Convention of the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD)
  • Disability Equality Act
  • BITV 2.0
    This is short for: Barrier-InformationTechnologyOrdinance 2.0.

It is our intention to stick to the law.

How did we Assess our Accessibility?

We have assessed our accessibility ourselves.
We are soon to have the accessibility of our website assessed by an external source.

Not everything is accessible on our website.
We plan to change that soon.

What Is Not Yet Accessible?

Old PDF files are non-accessible.
That means
that these PDF files cannot be read by a read-aloud programme.

Help for Persons with Hearing Impairments

The National Employment Agency has an extra telephone service for people with hearing impairments.
You receive information in sign language or to read.

Help with Problems Concerning Accessibility

Perhaps you have complained about access on our
website.
Did you find a good solution to your problem?

Then you are welcome to complain some more.
For this reason, we have a complaints point.
The complaints point is called
the Arbitration Board according to Section 16 of the Schlichtungsstelle nach Paragraph 16 of the Act on Disability Equality Act (BGG).
The arbitration board is responsible for disputes between:

  • persons with a disability and
  • public authorities.
    For example:
    • ministries
    • some trusts
    • the National Employment Agency

The arbitration board looks for a solution.
Then it is not necessary to go to court.

You do not have to pay for the complaints point.
You do not need a lawyer.
