Application and admission procedure for Bachelor programmes
Requirements
The following school qualifications can be accepted for admission to both the Bachelor-degree programmes:
- Allgemeine Hochschulreife, (general higher education entry qualification) average grade ≤ 2.9
- Fachhochschulreife, (university of applied sciences entry qualification) average grade ≤ 2.4
- an access authorisation recognised as equivalent by law or by the responsible state authorities

Admission to degree programmes are decided in many steps of a selection procedure. Professionally qualified individuals may also be eligible for university admission under the conditions laid out in § 59 (1) to (3) of the State Higher Education Act of Baden-Württemberg. Before beginning their studies, students sign a training contract for the integrated study programme with their local employment agency.
How to Apply
The application process for the degree programme, which starts from the beginning of September every year, is carried out by the regional employment agencies, and generally starts one year before.
Please apply for one of the advertised study places at only one employment agency close to your home.

It is not possible to apply directly to the university.
When you apply, the following documents
- a convincing covering letter
- detailed CV
- copies of school reports (years 11, 12 and 13)
- copies of any other reports (e.g. work experience)
- if applicable, a copy of your disability card or proof of equal status
should be included in your application.
