The University of Applied Labour Studies of the Federal Employment Agency (HdBA) promotes enhanced the buildup and maintaining of international relationships with institutions, organizations and companies worldwide.
For its process of internationalization the HdBA is in cooperation with partner universities in Europe to allow study visits abroad and to promote the exchange of its scientists.
In both bachelor courses offered by the HdBA, a four weeks internship abroad is possible. In addition, the University already participated on several EU projects in the past years.

Internships - International partners wanted

 

The university encourages its students to do one of their internships abroad and offers them support to find an appropriate internship institution as well as allowances for travel and accommodation expenses.

 
During the modular bachelor programs "Labour Market Management" or "Career Guidance and Case Management" the students acquire unique expert knowledge and practical experience, qualifying them to takeover executive positions at the Federal Employment Agency. But HdBA-graduates also have the best opportunities to start a career at private personnel consulting agencies or in the field of social security insurance.

 
For the time of their studies, the students are paid by the Federal Employment Agency and receive a fixed salary. To provide our students the opportunity to collect professional experience, to get interesting insights working market related fields in foreign countries and to improve their social and intercultural skills, we are continuously looking for internship partners in the European Union and all over the world.

 
Locations of interest are public employment agencies, private personnel consulting and temporary work agencies, social security providers as well as universities which run a career centre. Within the European Union also companies in the divisions human resources, controlling or marketing and other social institutions or social carriers are possible. During the internship the students receive their regular salary and reimbursement for travel and accommodation expenses.

 
The students are allowed to do their internship abroad between May and August at the end of their 2nd bachelor study year, the internship abroad is to be completed in 4 weeks.
